the game:
a ritual of reconnection

The Great Weaving Game is more than a game

it is a sacred and playful space for collective remembering
a living ritual where threads long forgotten are brought back into the light

Co-created in circle, it invites us to slow down, to listen deeply
and to trace the invisible connections that bind us
across stories and struggles, across movements and memories
across the dreams we carry for a world rooted in care, beauty, and belonging

Like mycelium weaving beneath the forest floor
the Game surfaces patterns we often cannot see alone
Together, we map the relational field
nourish the seeds of possibility
and compost what no longer serves

It is a space to remember that we are not alone
that amidst the unraveling of old systems
we are part of a greater whole
entangled in a web of life yearning to be re-woven

Through shared play, presence, and imagination
we open new pathways for collaboration
for action grounded in love, and for the emergence of
the more beautiful world our hearts still know is possible

why we play

We play to remember we are not alone

To weave threads of wisdom, practice, and possibility
To map the mycelium beneath our movements

We play to shift from scarcity to shared abundance
From competition to collaboration
From isolation to interbeing

We play to practice new ways of relating
To listen, to connect, to co-create
To imagine futures where all life can flourish

This is not a game of winners and losers
This is a game of belonging
A game where the goal… is the weave itself

how it works

The Great Weaving Game unfolds as a spiral journey
a sacred arc that invites us to
re-member, feel, imagine, co-create, and give back
It is not a linear path, but a living rhythm
a choreography of soul and story
Each stage of the spiral is a doorway
opening us to deeper connection
with ourselves, each other, and the living world

Spiral of the Great Weaving

i. re-membering

ii. honoring

iii. dreaming

iv. weaving

v. offering

Here are the five stages of the spiral:

i. Remembering

“What are we part of?”

We begin by re-membering—calling back the forgotten threads of belonging that tether us to place, lineage, and Life itself. It is a practice of reconnecting: to our roots, to our ancestors (human and more-than-human), and to the deep time of the Earth. We ask: What are the threads that hold and sustain us—even when we forget they exist?

ii. Honoring

“What is unraveling, disintegrating, collapsing?”

In this stage, we turn toward the pain of the world with open eyes and tender hearts. We name what is breaking, not to be consumed by despair, but to honor the truth of this moment. We also notice what beauty still brings us to tears. Honoring is an act of courage and reverence: a way to stand in right relationship with all that is passing.

iii. Dreaming

“What does the more beautiful world our hearts know is possible look and feel like?”

Here we enter the fertile terrain of radical imagination. Dreaming is both an act of remembering and of re-worlding—a collective invitation to listen, not only with our minds, but with our bodies, our ancestors, and the Earth herself. We open the space for more-than-human voices to be heard and felt—tree, river, fungus, wind. We ask: What would it mean to dream not just of Gaia, but as gaia? What visions arise when we allow ourselves to feel the world dreaming through us?

We ask: What worldviews, ways of (inter)being, (un)knowing, and relating make another world possible? As we dream together, we breathe life into the Great Re-Turning.

iv. Weaving

“What is already alive and longing to be woven together?”

This stage is an invitation to connect the dots, to sense into the mycelial networks of transformation already at play. We explore: What communities, movements, and organizations are nurturing the transition? What tools, stories, and frameworks support this becoming? We begin to weave together patterns of possibility—rooted, relational, and regenerative.

v. Offering

“Which thread are we offering back to Life?”

In the final stage, we bring it home. We ask: What gift, insight, or commitment do I carry forward? What do I offer back to the whole? This is not an ending, but a return to the beginning…now with fuller hands and fuller hearts. We become compost and seed, carrying the spiral into the next cycle of life.
